Episode Notes

In a New Year's Edition of Gilmore Ball Z, we look at what happens after you date Rory Gilmore and leave Stars Hollow. We watched episodes of Supernatural (Dean), This is Us (Jess), and The Resident (Logan), to determine the most important question: Who got hotter?

Content warning: All three episodes we watched happened to deal with grief and loss and the episode of the Resident includes a plot line where a child dies of cancer.

Episode Notes

In what might have been the most arduous watch of a Dragon Ball movie to date, we finished Wrath of the Dragon--a film that wasn't sure if it wanted to be a Dragon Quest movie or a Trunks story. While Goku becomes more vestigial than ever, Gohan fights disembodied pants.

No. Really.

That happens.

Content warning: This movie had a pretty insensitive discussion of suicide, so we mention that in this episode

Episode Notes

Sorry, Bad Santa fans, Grant and Paige were a little less than jolly watching this dark Christmas comedy. Look, there's only so many times Santa can pee on himself before we ask why we're watching this movie.

Content warning: This movie includes an attempted suicide, child abuse, and depression, and we talk about those in this episode.

Episode Notes

In a Dragon Ball movie that was actually funny, Chi Chi is relevant for about two seconds, We get Namekian lore (that would be interesting if it ever popped up again) and Grant has Final Fantasy Flashbacks.

Episode Notes

Mike Perna from Innroads Ministries joined us to watch Gilmore Girl's Keiko Agena in the Fox crime drama Prodigal Son, but if we're all honest with ourselves, we mostly wanted to see Michael Sheen play a serial killer.

Episode Notes

We watched Dirty Dancing and Grant's still not convinced anything good happened in the 80s. Kelly Bishop's barely in it, Patrick Swayze is ancient, the movie isn't sure what it's saying and Baby wasn't even in a corner!

We're back in your feeds to tell you:

1. Thank you for everyone who donated to abortion charities after our post.
2. The Gohan and Rory fund is still open and we'll match any funds you donate to abortion related charities. If you don't know if it'll apply, feel free to ask and we'll probably say yes.
3. Legend - A Dragon Ball Tale was sick, dope, rad, and a lot of other 90s words to say "You should watch it." And you should watch it. Link here: Legend - A Dragon Ball Tale
4. When Naseer Pasha was nice enough to give us permission to record this episode, he wanted us to make it clear that this was a passion project and he made NO money off it. We also made no money off of this. He and the team at Studio Stray Dog made a fantastic passion project, and we made this episode for the sheer love of Dragon Ball.
5. The National Network of Abortion Funds - This isn't the only charity that will work, but it is the one we mentioned in the episode

Grant and Paige give their (gushing) review of Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero, and how it gives them pretty much everything they wanted from a Dragon Ball movie.
